Depression

For many years I had suffered repeated severe, debilitating bouts of depression. After much counselling I reached a point of understanding of myself and the root cause of the depression and gradually I was healed, no longer depressed. However, I was left with such feelings of guilt and self loathing as to how I let myself get in to that state, how I'd affected and harmed the people around me that I care about, that I was still left with the ongoing sense of self hatred and isolation because I thought that if people really knew what I was like they would hate me! Miv asked me to help her to train to be a hypnotherapist and I agreed. After very few sessions, Miv helped me to understand how the mind works, how to challenge my negative self talk. By just changing the way I spoke about myself, I could change the way I thought and therefor how I felt about myself. It was a revelation. The sessions helped me to recognise and accept myself as worthy of friendships and life. The hypnotherapy  aspect is wonderful. I initially felt a bit silly, exposed, self conscious. With Miv's gentle, encouraging and knowledgeable support, I allowed myself to relax into the sessions, finding it easier and easier every time. I can even do it myself now if I find my mind getting overwhelmed or 'full up.' My mind is less cluttered, calmer. Today I feel a contentment and peace I have never felt before. I believe that Miv, and her kind, gentle and sensitive approach and her hypnotherapy sessions have let me be a whole person, possibly for the first time. Thankyou Miv
